Hi all. Nick here from MilitaryClothing.com – Military Uniform Supply, Inc. I am guessing you are here to find out more information on Army Unit Patches for the Scorpion ACU OCP Uniform. I can give you the low-down on what we know so far.
Most Patches will not change when you make the shift from Multicam to OCP. So if you have a unit patch that you wore on your Multicam Uniform, chances are this patch will transition with no issues to the Army Operational Camouflage Pattern. There are a few exceptions. The following units will be replacing the OLIVE color in the Multicam patch with BROWN in the new OCP patch:
- US Army Element, US Army Central Command
- US Forces Afghanistan
- 225th Engineer Brigade
- 176th Engineer Brigade
- 518th Sustainment Brigade
There may be a few other OCP patches that will alter their patches slightly, but as of the date of this article, these are the only ones we are aware of.
MilitaryClothing.com is also in the process of updating patch descriptions from Multicam™ Patch descriptions to OCP. For instance, prior to the Army’s decision to transiction to Scorpion W2 Camo, OCP did stand for Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern. For the new Army ACUs, OCP stands for Operational Camouflage Pattern.
Where to Buy OCP Patch?

Army ACU OCP Uniform
The Army Combat Uniform OCP will be undergoing a fundamental change in appearance and style. Most changes to the Army ACUs are per the feedback of soldiers who wear the uniform. The most visual change will be the ACU Jacket as it goes from a hook and loop fastener collar to a more comfortable fold down version.
The Army OCP will also include a shift from Sand/Tan colored uniform accessories to either a darker Tan or Coyote. The color of the darker tan is officially known as TAN 499. Army Boots will now be Coyote. T-Shirts and Belts will shift to Tan499. Of course, the Army has authorized some mismatching while they are in this four year transition. Their current plan is for the new Army OCP uniform to be in full effect by 2019.
MilitaryClothing.com does not have access to the uniforms at this time, but will have them up on their website as soon as they are available from Propper™ or Tru-Spec®. There are already a handful of coyote boots available and they should have Tan499 Belts and T-shirts very soon. To shop for the OCP Uniform, Patches and Accessories.
