Sending Reported Error (0x800ccc0f) in Outlook 2010
Today, one of our employees reported the following error:
Task ’email@SampleEmail.com – Sending’ reported error (0x800CCC0F) : ‘The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).’
After contacting our Server Administrator, we were informed that this error could begin to occur on a regular basis if the Outlook account has multiple Email addresses configured. He also stated that as long as the Emails continued to go out and our productivity was not severely hindered that we should just ignore it.
Since we do use several email addresses, this was a satisfactory answer for us and we will work around the issue. I thought this was quite interesting, that this is “normal” so I created this blog to share with the rest of the Internet World.
However, if this error becomes a major problem, it is recommended that you contact your Email Server Administrator or Internet Service Provider and see if any adjustments can be made to your account.
