ISSUE: DAILY SHIPPING WINDOW is not visible
Today, one of our 3 shipping computers experienced a unique error in the PPP Windowbook software. We were unable to open the “Daily Shipping” window, however, everything else on Windowbook seemed to be running fine. Our initial troubleshooting involved a computer reboot. This did not work. We also noticed that the error was not occuring on our other computers so we acknowledged that the problem was local to this one machine. We attempted to google for a solution but came up empty handed. Therefore, we sent an email to Windowbook Customer Support.
Thankfully, we received a rapid email response from Windowbook with the following instructions:
- DELETE this file: “C:UsersPublicDocumentsWindow BookP3Data707.ini”
- REBOOT PC
Within a few short minutes Windowbook was up and running again.
So, what happened? Customer service explained that the ini file preserves window locations and the numbers can be thrown off if a machine’s resolution changes or it goes from dual monitors to a single monitor.
