TASK: Receive Alert Box when changing the Rate of an Inventory Item in a Purchase Order
A lot of my work inside Quickbooks purchase orders involved changing the rate of an item so that it was updated in Quickbooks. I used to receive an alert box asking if I want to permanently update the item with the new cost. I clicked the checkbox that stated “Do Not Display this message in the future” and clicked YES so that everytime I changed the RATE of an item, it updated in quickbooks.
Well today I had a task that involved a purchase order where I did not want to update the RATE/Price of an inventory item. This is how I reactivated the Alert Box so that I could choose whether or not to update the rate permanently.
On the Menu Bar Click Edit
Click “General” along the left side menu
On the My Preferences Tab click the checkbox that says “Bring back all one time messages” and click OK.
Now When you change the RATE of an item in your Quickbooks Purchase Order you will receive a prompt asking if you want to permanently update the item with the new cost.
To stop the Alert Boxes from popping up with every change you can do the following:
Click the Do not Display this message in the future checkbox
Click YES or NO.
Selecting YES will always permanently change the rate of the inventory item, selecting NO will never permanently change the rate of the inventory item.
